Dhaulagiri TrekTrekking in Dhaulagiri is the most famous trekking routes in Annapurna Region. Dhaulagiri Mountain  (8,167m) is the seventh highest peak in the world. It's a long difficult trek around Dhaulagiri - following Marsyangdi Khola westwards to Darbang then turning north on a tiny trail leading through forests into the high country. Much of the route covers snow and glacier as it crosses French Col. (5,240m) and Dhampus pass (5,155m). Starting from Beni to the Kali Gandaki valley, the trek crosses high passes and rivers of Kali Gandaki and Bheri stands Dhaulagiri Himal, a massive ridge with a continues to Marpha and by passing the best panorama view of Annapurna and other many more mountains to Birethanti.

This mountain range is has 14 peaks rising over 7000m in height, including Mount Dhauligiri, the sixth highest mountain in the world, at 8167m. It is, undoubtedly, a memorable place for adventure seekers all over the world. The incredible views of Ice Falls and Glaciers make this trip worthy enough for those who have only dreamt of such an adventure. There are a few routes to choose from, each offering spectacular views of the majestic Himalayan landscape. Experienced trekkers with basic mountaineering skills will enjoy this region.

Day 1st: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1310meters)

Representative of Real Adventure Nepal will be at Tribhuwan International Airpot, Kathmandu. He/she will be displaying the board of Real Adventure Nepal. Then after you will be transfer to your own hotel on your private vehicles.

Day 3rd: Drive to Beni (850m) by bus-8 hrs

Day 4th: Trek to Babiachor (950m)-5 hrs

Day 5th: Trek to Dharapani (1400m)-6hr

Day 6th: Trek to Muri (1850m)-5hrs

Day 7th: Trek to Boghara (2080m) - 6hrs

Day 8th: Trek to Dobang (2520m) - 5hrs

Day 9th: Trek to Choriban khola

Day 10th: Trek to the Italian Base Camp (3660m) – 7hrs

Day 11th: Acclimatization and rest day

Day 12th: Trek to the Glacier camp (4210m) – 7hrs

Day 13th: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4740m)

Day 14th: Another acclimatization and rest day

Day 15th: Cross the French Pass (5,360m), then trek to the Hidden Valley (5,200m) - 6 hrs

Day 16th: Cross the Dhampus Pass (5200m), and trek to Yak Kharka (3680m) – 6hrs

 Day 17th: Trek to Joomsoom(2710m)  - 5 hrs trek

Day 18th: Morning flight to Pokhara – 30min Sightseeing around the Pokhara

Day 19th: Leisure day and sightseeing around Pokhara

Day 20th: Drive back to Kathmandu (1345m) and farewell dinner

Day21th: Transfer to the international airport for your final departure

Day 2nd: Pre trip meeting and Kathmandu Valley sightseeing

After having morning breakfast we will go for pre-trip meeting where you will meet our trekking guide/ leader. Over there we will provide you our trek Duffel Bag, T-shirt and a Cap. Before attending the pre trip meeting of trek you have make sure about your important documents like: passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. It is notice to you that on meeting please clears the due amount of trip as soon as possible. Incase problem arise in payment then you have to sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.If you will arrive late or if you are unable to attend the pre trip meeting then please inform us before the pre trip held.

This day we will visit the some world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley like Pahupatinath, Bouddhanath stupa, Durbar Square, Swambunath stupa

Firstly, we will visit one of the biggest Buddhist shrine in the world (Bouddhanath Stupa) where we will observe the Buddhist monk praying around the monasteries. Then after we will visit Pashupatinath temple, holy place Hindu people which is situated at the bank of Bagmati river. Over there we will see some sadhu (Holy man of Hindu), and some funeral pyres burning on ghats. Next we will visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is famous for its attractive fifty five window palace, ancient architecture, golden gate and statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.

Day 3rd: Drive to Beni (850m) by bus-8 hrs

After having morning breakfast, we will leave Kathmandu and will be heading to Beni by local bus. You can make your journey more enjoy full with beautiful scenery, landscape and hilly gorges. Then after we will directly move to Beni (headquarter and there will be check post where our trekking permits will be examined). This beni town is located at the corradiation of Kaligandaki and Myagdi Khola.

Day 4th: Trek to Babiachor (950m)-5 hrs

Today we will start our trek along the north bank of the Myagdi Khola through the village of Beni Mangalghat to Singa and Tatopani(hot spring). Crossing the suspension bridge beyond the river, then before crossing another bridge our trail makes a little half loop near the village of Simalchour. We will back to the north bank and we will continue to the village of Babichor.

Day 5th: Trek to Dharapani (1400m)-6hr

This day our trek begins to Dharapanith with exciting views through terraced hills. Gently our trail will pass the culturally rich village (Shashasshradhara). Crossing the Dudh Khola, we walk through the fields of Ratorunga. It is surrounded by the lush hills and terraced fields. Slowly we will ascend to our campsite of Dharapani.

Day 6th: Trek to Muri (1850m)-5hrs

Our trek will start from Dharapani to Muri. Today we will climb the ridge of Dharapani. Then after our trail ascend through the steep climb up to trail to Muri village. Until reaching the Sibang and Mattim we will continue our trek. Descending from here to the Gattikhola, we will reach the Phalai Gacon (1810m). After crossing the Dharakhola on the west bank of the Myagdi Khola then we will climb a ridge which will lead us to the large village of Magar community (Muri).

Day 7th: Trek to Boghara (2080m) - 6hrs

From Muri, Our treks descend by crossing a stream through terraced fields. Before climbing the ridge there is a place from where we can see the dramatic view of Mt. Ghustung (6465m). We will descend to Myagdi Khola through the village of Naura and hilly gorger. From here we will continue our trek by climbing a steep slope through the beautiful forest and terraced fields to the Boghara (2080m)

Day 8th: Trek to Dobang (2520m) - 5hrs

This day will be more challenging and adventurous. Our treks descend through a beautiful forest to Jyardan. Crossing the high winding path with a rough trail leads us to Lipshe where we can find a one single hut. Then our trek will walk through the temperate forest to Lapche Kharka and certain climbs lead us to the picturesque setting of the Dorban village. During spring time you can observe the beautiful and marvelous view of red forest with full of rhododendron flowers.

Day 9th: Trek to Choriban khola

The trails descend by crossing the wooden bridge of Dobang. After some distance we will see the beautiful mountains through the break in the trees. Then after our trail descend to the Modhi khola through crossing the wooden bridge. We will continue our trail to Chartare. We will pass through the forest and will cross a stream up to our destination place Choriban Khola.

Day 10th: Trek to the Italian Base Camp (3660m) – 7hrs

Today our trail will go through the moraine trail of the Chhonbarban Glacier and go through the glacier from the right side. We will get chance to have a view of shiny peaks like Mt. Tukche Peak (6837m), Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8167m). A short distance walk will lead us to Italian Base Camp (3660m). From here in the western side we can see the other beautiful mountains like: Dhaulagiri II (7751m), Dhaulagiri III (7715m) and Dhaulagiri V (7618m).

Day 11th: Acclimatization and rest day

This day, we will take rest before continuing our trek to the Glacier camp. It is very necessary to be success to complete our whole trek with healthy mind and body. Spending the day at the high altitude will ensure the team success

Day 12th: Trek to the Glacier camp (4210m) – 7hrs

We will set up earlier in the morning when weather condition will be good. Our today’s trails begin from Prone to stone fall which will passes through a narrow gorge. This day we will spent our night near the glacier.

Day 13th: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4740m)

This day will be a bit more challenging and adventurous trek than other days. Then we will continue our trail to Dhaulagiri base camp. From here we will see the breathtaking mountain range of the Dhaulagiri chain like: Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m) and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m) etc. Over there we will see the impressive icefall in front of us.

Day 14th: Another acclimatization and rest day

This day we will have rest day since in trekking time we will be passing through alpine passes and sometimes we will have hiking up to high altitude. This day will be a charming day for us because from our acclimatization place we can fully explore the surrounding environment with exciting panoramas.

Day 15th: Cross the French Pass (5,360m), then trek to the Hidden Valley (5,200m) - 6 hrs

After a sound acclimatization, we will enter into a valley then after we will climb two terraced hills which run along the glacier.Then after we will start climbing up to the French pass from where we can see Mukut himal (6328m), Tashi Kang (6386m). In the southern part we will chance to observe the massive peak of Dhaulagiri I and Tuche peaks. From the French pass we will continue our trek along the right edge of the Hidden valley to the thapa Pass in between of two peaks Tukche and Thapa. We will make our camp at 5250m after descending from the thapa pass.

Day 16th: Cross the Dhampus Pass (5200m), and trek to Yak Kharka (3680m) – 6hrs

On this day, we will descend from Hidden Valley to the Dhampus Pass then we will continue our trek towards the Yak kharka. From camp site, we will get chance to observe the superb view of the mountain range and will also get chance to enjoy the surrounding environment.

 Day 17th: Trek to Joomsoom(2710m)  - 5 hrs trek

Today we will continue our trail from Marpha village to Joomsoom. We will follow the kaligandaki River upstream until the Joomsoom. Normally, in Marpha village we will see the many apple and orchards specialty so don’t miss the taste of those apple brandy. Continue trail from river valley will leads us to Joomsoom town where we can have all basic facilities like medical, communication and shopping.

Day 18th: Morning flight to Pokhara – 30min Sightseeing around the Pokhara

This day we will have a short in the morning from Joomsoom to Pokhara. After arrival, we will drive to our respective hotel. On the same day we will go for sightseeing tour around the Pokhara Valley. Pokhara is also famous for tourist favorite’s destination soo this day we will visit some beautiful places like: Fewa Lake, Devi’s Fall, Museum, Tibetan Refugee settlement, Gupteshwor cave and many more.

Day 19th: Leisure day and sightseeing around Pokhara

This day will be spare day in case the weather condition will be bad for flight from Joomsoom to Pokhara .Sightseeing around the Pokhara Valley.

Day 20th: Drive back to Kathmandu (1345m) and farewell dinner

Today we will have many more option to extend our trip by experiencing some adventurous activities like: Chitwan jungle safari, rafting adventure, Kathmandu valley shopping tour, scenic Everest flight, mountain biking and other activities. We will have our farewell dinner in Traditional Nepalese Restaurant with some cultural performance in the evening time.

Day21th: Transfer to the international airport for your final departure

This day our trip will come to end. Our airport representative will transfer you to the airport at the given time for final departure.

Note: As per the interest of client the itinerary can be minimize by cutting two days tour in city area. To start trek on the very same day we will have early 25 minute flight to Pokhara around at 8am. People who have short period of time for trek, for them we can also manage short treks. If you some more time after trek then you may experience some adventurous activities like White Water Rafting, jungle safari tour in Chitwan National Park. In Pokhara you can experience some extra adventurous activities like Paragliding, Zeep flyer and other many more.  So, please tell us about your interest and time which will be easy for you to provide the best service and comfort and enjoy full journey.
