Everest Base Camp

Everest Base Camp is not only a trekking it is also an adventurous journey for a life time. It gives you chance to view the natural beauty and exclusive sceneries. Our trek will go through the footstep of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.

Our actual 14 days Everest Region trek starts from Lukla, and end at Lukla (airport), gateway to Everest. The trekking trail will passes through the valley of Dudhkoshi to Namchee Bazzar. This area is highly populated by Sherpa community, which is center of attraction of Khumbu region for all the trading and tourist. From here the serious scenery of beautiful mountain starts. After acclimatization or having rest in village, you will trek to Lobuche, beautiful mountain close to the Khumbu glacier. Ahead you will trek to Gorakshep, over there you will get chance to visit the frozen lake bed covered with sand. Finally you will reach Everest Base Camp and above you, there lie a beautiful gigantic Mount Everest. Next day your trek will take you to Kala Patthar: the extra height from Kala Patthar will provide you an unbelievable panorama not only of Everest but also neighbouring peaks including:Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori.

Nowadays Everest Base Camp has been nominated as one of the most famous destination. No doubt 14 days Everest Base Camp trek will be set as memories for the life time. In the mean time, along the route you can explore Sherpa Bazzar, Museum, and Buddhist monastery. The trail will give you a prefect view of Amadablam and in Sagarmatha National Park, Sherpa village and it will give trekkers glance into their daily life. On the way you will get chance to see the beautiful life cycle of wild (rare) animals and birds of Himalayas.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2804m) trek to Phakding (2610m) 3 hours

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazzar

Day 04: Namche Bazzar Acclimatization day

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860mm) 5 hours

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4350m) 5hours

Day 07: Trek to Chhukung (4710m0 and trek back to Dingboche 4.30 hrs

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (45710m) 5hrs

Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365m) then back to Gorak Shep (51820m) 8hrs

Day 10: Hike up to Kalapatthar (5555m) early in the morning and trek down to Periche (4200m) 7 hrs

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazar (3441m) 5.30hrs

Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2804m) 6 hrs

Day 13: Morning flight back to the Kathmandu

Day 14: Transfer to your final departure

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport, our airport representative from Real Adventure will be there to receive you, displaying the signboard of Real Adventure Nepal. Then after, you will transfer to your respective hotel in our private vehicles.

Note: If you would like to arrive after 4pm then, in such a case on way to your hotel our airport representative will provide you information about our next day trip (tomorrow). So feel free to ask any type of question about trip. Incase if you will arrive before 4 pm then your pre meeting will be at our office on the same day. In the pre meeting we will introduce your trek guide/ leader/ porter. Main thing is that don’t forget to bring some important document like: passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Atlas, you will be request to pay the due amount otherwise you will be requested to sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2804m) trek to Phakding (2610m) 3 hours

This day we will take an early morning flight about 35 min from Tribhuwan International Airport to Tenzing HillaryAirport at Lukla at 2804m. After landing at Lukla our trekking guide will brief and will also give introduction of some of porters of ours. Then we will move towards Phakding at 2610m. For some moment we will be busy in exploring the surrounding environment with pour trekking team. Out trek will start descending towards the Dhudhkoshi River from where we will be able to join the main trail to Namche Bazzar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). After passing through the small village called Ghat, it is short walk to Phakding

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazzar

Our trek will be continuing to Namche Bazzar along the banks of the Dudhkoshi River via a long suspension bridge laden with prayers flag. Then after we will enter into the Sagarmatha National Park and then our trail will climbs steeply with beautiful scenery. Namche Bazar is a large village, shopping place filled with all necessary materials for trekking and mountaineering clothing, equipment and many more facilities like: hotels, money exchange, and bakeries.

Day 04: Namche Bazzar Acclimatization day

This day will be our rest day. We will take some rest and allow our body to become acclimatized to the high altitude. Today we will have short trek up to the museum for the overview of the Sherpa culture. On the same day we will have hiking up to the Syangboche Airport around the Everest Base Camp, from where we can capture some breathtaking view of beautiful Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860mm) 5 hours

Our trail will continue along the Dudhkoshiu River with beautiful view of peaks. Up to 3860m altitude, trek will be continuing. After reaching the Tengboche, over therewe will have close views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Everest and local Buddhist Monastery (20m foot sculpture of Buddha). Either in the evening or morning time, we will visit the monastery and will be praying for success.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4350m) 5hours

Today’s our journey will continue towards the Dingboche by saying the good bye to the mountains and beautiful scenery of Tengboche. We will cross many exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola and we will climb up to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stone. Then after our uphill trail will leads us to Dingboche, traditional village of Sherpa. After arrival at Dingboche , we can see the awesome view of Lhotse, Island Peak, and AmaDablam.

Day 07: Trek to Chhukung (4710m0 and trek back to Dingboche 4.30 hrs

This day will be another day for acclimatization. To have some awesome view of surrounding mountain we will organize a trip to Chhukung Valley via in the Imja Khola. After capturing all the beautiful memories around the magnificent peaks and beautiful scenery in the evening time we will return to Dingboche for night stay.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (45710m) 5hrs

We will climb up the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and we will pass by stone memories for the climbers who perished mission on nearby peaks. Continuing climbing up to 4910m altitude will lead us to Lobuche where we can find the small huts at the foot of giant peak of Lobuche. Due to the altitude sickness some difficulties may create while climbing up.

Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365m) then back to Gorak Shep (51820m) 8hrs

Trek from Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5365m) will be more difficult day in comparison of other day. Ahead on the trail we will have closest view of Mt. Everest without any help of mountaineering equipment.  The team will be attempt submit of peak together. From the base camp we will have spectacular view of Ice Fall of Khumbu Glacier. Return back to the Gorak Shep for night stay.

Day 10: Hike up to Kalapatthar (5555m) early in the morning and trek down to Periche (4200m) 7 hrs

In the morning, we will stretch our both legs to catch the dramatic views of Mt. kalaPatthar at (5555m) though it will be one of the most difficult days of trekking. During the ascent to the Kala Patthar, we will pause to catch the magnificent view of peaks (Everest Highest point on the planet at 29028 ft 8848m). Then we will move ahead towards the other peaks to have awesome view like: Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and many others too. Descent to Gorak Shep and trek to  Periche.

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazar (3441m) 5.30hrs

Today we will take slightly different route, downwards to Orsho from Periche. After arrival at Pangboche, over there we will visit some old monastery which consist and known as scalp of abominable snowman. Saying good bye to the beautiful mountains we will follow the trail downwards through the Tengboche Monastery at 3860m altitude. In the evening time we will reach the Namche Bazzar and will stay for one night.

Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2804m) 6 hrs

Saying goodbye to Namchee Bazzar, we will start our trek to Lukla from where our trek start. On the way we can have some snap of open plains, rhododendron, pine forest and snow capped mountains which will be the life time memories of Everest Base Camp. Then personally you will enjoy the journey and will feel touched of feet of the highest peak of the World Mt. Everest (8848m) . We will have enough time to explore beauty of town.

Day 13: Morning flight back to the Kathmandu

Today we have to depart with beautiful nature, so we will take a scenic flight about 35 min back to Kathmandu. After arrival at Kathmandu we will back to our starting hotel. If you would like to have more adventurous activities then you can join like: Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting, shopping etc.

Day 14: Transfer to your final departure

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today! Our airport representative will drop you to Tribhuwan International Airport for your final departure. We’ll be praying for your safe departure to home.

Note: During the trip, some problem may create due to the weather, local politics, transport or other factor in such a case we will change our itinerary. If any kinds of alternation will necessary then our leader will decide and will take best decision with the concern of whole group. If change occurs then we will try our best to minimize its effect on trip but we will not be responsible since it will be out of control.

  • Standard twin sharing accommodation in a two star hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast included. (2 nights)
  • Lodges, Guesthouses accommodation during the trek (11 nights Trekking Guesthouse in twin sharing and occasionally dormitory style).
  • Local Ace the Himalaya licensed English speaking guide.
  • The required number of local staff and porters to carry your luggage during the trek (We assign one porter for every two guests).
  • Food, accommodation, salary, insurance, equipment and medicine for all staff.
  • Everest National Park permits and TIMS permit for trekking.
  • Airfare from Kathmandu – Lukla - Kathmandu including airport departure tax in Kathmandu and Lukla airport.
  • Surface transfer from and to Kathmandu.

Cost Does not Include

  • Lunch and dinner whilst in Kathmandu. (Requires approximately USD 15 to 25 per person per day)
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner while on Trekking. (Requires approximately USD 350 to USD 400 per person for entire trekking)
  • Travel insurance which covers emergency Rescue and Evacuation
  • International airfare and airport departure tax
  • Nepal entry visa; you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying US $ 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying US $40 and $ 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos).
