Island Peak Climbing - 23 days
Our unique itinerary takes you into the high valleys of the Khumbu region, providing magnificent views of the awesome Khumbu peaks as you acclimatize for the trekking ahead. We have the opportunity of conquering Imjatse Peak (6200 m). Though Imjatse Peak is well within the capabilities of any fit and determined hill walker, it can still be demanding and it requires some basic climbing experience.
Our adventure begins with a short flight to Lukla and two days of easy walk to Namche Bazaar. On the way up, there is also time to explore this magnificent valley towards the fourth and fifth lake and some of the nameless peaks, also known for the best view of Everest in the whole of the Khumbu Valley.
Our camp at Gorakshep (5160 m) provides time to walk up to Kalapattar (5545 m) for the classic views of Everest's southwest face, Lhotse, Nuptse and Khumbu icefall. The trek descends through the Khumbu Classic route via Tyangboche, Namche, to Lukla. From here we fly back to Kathmandu the following day.
